Medical Screening
When it's convenient for you

These screening tests are of a LIFE SAVING nature and are suggested for anyone over the age of 40.

Doppler test for Peripheral Arterial Disease:  This test helps to determine the circulatory health of the lower extremities and correlates with risk of stroke and heart disease.

Carotid Arteries screening for stroke:  Carotid arteries are the main arteries in the neck that carry blood to the brain.  This test determines the risk of having a stroke by locating plaque that blocks proper blood flow and evaluates flow through the vessels.

Thyroid Screening:  The thyroid is a gland in the neck that helps to regulate metabolism.  This screening locates potentially harmful lesions of the thyroid to determine of further evaluation by your physician is necessary.

Abdominal Aorta Aneurysm screening:  The abdominal aorta is the main blood vessel that carries blood from the heart, through the abdomen to the legs.  An aneurysm is a weakening of the walls of the aorta that enlarges the size of the aorta.  It can also be somewhat compared to having a “ball on a tire”.  Just like the old fashion tires would get a “ball” on them the aorta does similar.  The consequences of having an aneurysm and not knowing about it,  will be far more serious than your tire blowing out!!

Blood pressure and pulse will be included with any test.

These tests are non-invasive and totally painless.  They are designed to identify individuals who are at risk of these conditions, but who may be currently without symptoms.  These conditions are absolutely treatable.  Each test costs $35, any three for $99 or all four for $109.  At a hospital, the total costs for these tests could easily run over $2000.
